May 31- iomega-Orbea
makes presence felt at NRC in Missoula
The iomega-Orbea squad finished off their best ever NRC race
with a 5th place overall by Matt Weyen this
past Memorial Day weekend. Matt was quick to give credit
to his teammates who helped him throughout the 4 day event
to obtain his best ever NRC finish.
The team rode magnificent together with an all for one, one for
all attitude that was displayed throughout the weekend.
Team manager/director Gary Casella said "I
am very pleased with the way the entire team rode..
Very selfless, as there were many instances this weekend we
could have easily fallen out of the top ten." "Furthermore,
the integration of our seasoned stage racers (Esteban,
Gonzalo, Tad) really helped guide Matt to his fantastic
finish." |

April 18...New
iomega-Orbea rider Matt Weyen takes 5th at Blacks Creek Road
Race.
Matt Weyen finished 5th in the third stage
of the George's Spring series race, Blacks Creek Road Race.
Matt rode well as almost everyone on the team had been home
for less than a week from Uruguay and the travel wrecked havoc
on the riders legs. From cramps to just discomfort the
20+ hours of flying and travel took its tool. Bad luck
still loomed large as Justin Mayfield flatted in the early part
of the race as well as Gary Casella just before
the finish. |

Update on "Bike for Bittle Project"
Here is an update on an earlier story
about Mark Bittle, a local man who suffered the loss of a
limb and now a stolen mountain bike used for therapy. Local
cyclist, Jeff Gasser and Team iomega-Orbea
rider Tad Hamilton, with the help of the local community,
have raised about $1300 in donations to purchase a new bike
for Mark.
Tad Hamilton comments
on the overwhelming success of the project:
"Since there has been such a
large response to our request for donations, we'll be able
to purchase Mark a brand new bike. On Friday, April 29th Jeff
and I will select the bike, and make the changes necessary
for any of Mark's special needs. The next day, we will present
Mark his new ride. The weather forecast is very good, so Mark
should be on his new bike that day."
Thank You to all that sent in their support.

Jan. 17-Not
our Tad Hamilton
Win
a date with Tad Hamilton is a new movie to be
released Jan 23, 2004 which is a comedy/drama, about
a checkout girl who wins a contest and wins a date
with none other than movie star...Tad Hamilton. The
date goes better than expected as Tad falls for the
checkout girl. The twist is when bagboy tells checkout
girl that he also loves her and now checkout girl
needs to choose between hollywood hunk or the bag
boy. Is that really a decision?
As funny as it sounds it
is totally a true movie. Before rumors fly that the
dream date is in fact iomega-Orbea rider Tad Hamilton
we just want to be clear that sorry girls....its not
our Tad Hamilton.
