Gary Casella
Director Sportif/Manager

Gary is a third generation cyclist who started his first race at the age of 10. In the years to come he was a prominent fixture in the New York metro cycling scene back in the mid to late 80’s, first as a Jr. and later as a young Senior rider. Gary spent time at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs as a member of the Jr. National development program. Gary lives and breathes cycling and his knowledge of the sport and attention to detail is what separates him from the mere rider/director. After a long hiatus away, Gary has come full circle to the sport he loves. His formation of the iOmega-Orbea squad is a step in which he wants to develop talent and give riders the opportunity and support to reach their potential, with the guidance of his experience.

Steven Parker
Nickname: "Noodle"or "Steve-O"

Steve Parker is iomega-Orbea's Cat. 3 development rider for 2004.  Steve was recruited by team manager Gary Casella in the fall of 2003 as Steve's climbing abilities impressed him.  Casella felt with some good positive support, the proper mentoring, and program Steve could blossom into one of the area's most feared climbers.  Tall and thin he looks like the Rabobank Pro Dane Michael Rassmussen on his bike.  Steve will be full integrated with the squad all season and ride along with the team whenever possible.  Learn from them and get the inside scoop on team tactics and strategy. The goals for him are to steadily improve and get his Cat. 2 upgrade by years end. Other goals are have a good showing at the end of the year at the State Championships and Bogus Hill climb.  Steve is also a student at Boise State University.
