General Rules and Technical Information

USCF Officials will be:
Chief Referee:  Vernon Pedaca 
Chief Judge:  Leah Olguin 
Assisting officials: TBA

Rider Numbers:
Riders will need to wear their numbers on the right side of their jersey during all stages.  Please be sure you’re number is clearly visible in order to be scored and given a proper finish.  No folding or altering of the race number will be permitted.

Mechanical support:
Stage 2 & 3 will have a wheel pit, wheels in/wheels out, near the Start/Finish
Stage 1 & 4 ITT’s will have no support.
Stage 5 may have Neutral wheel support that is being planned for all classes, but not guaranteed.  Also wheels in/wheels out.

Helmets:
Riders are required to wear their helmets when riding their bicycles before and after each stage in accordance with USCF rules.  Riders found riding without a helmet could be disqualified by the race officials.

Registration and sign in:
Registration will be available:
Wed. June 8, from 7-8:30pm @ Bardenay in Eagle.
Thurs. June 9 from 5-7:00pm @ Bardenay in Eagle.

Individual stage registration will be available prior to each stage by the Start/Finish.

Riders must sign in no later than 15 minutes prior to each stage start.  Sign in will be at or near the Start line of each stage. 

We ask that riders be on time and ready to race a few minutes prior to the scheduled start time for any last minute instructions by the race officials.

Road rules and conduct:
Stages 1, 3, 4 and 5 will be open to traffic and NOT be closed courses.  All riders must abide by the center (yellow) line rule as defined by the USCF rulebook on these stages.  If there is no yellow line the riders must stay to the right half of the road at all times.  Riders found violating the yellow line rule will get a time penalty, but could also include disqualification and/or suspension as determined by the race officials. 

Please obey the yellow line rule as it is there for your safety and the safety of others. 
This is your Warning!

Riders who fall behind the main race peloton must obey the rules of the road as defined by Ada County, Canyon County and the State of Idaho.

Protests:
All protests must be turned into the Chief referee no later than 15 minutes after your stage finish and in accordance with the USCF rules.

Race Rules:
The Tour of Eagle will be run under USCF Rules.  The Tour of Eagle is a stage race in which the rider with the lowest elapsed time over all 5 stages will be declared the winner of the event.

Riders must race all stages in order to be eligible for the overall prizes.

Prologue is not a required stage  It is an opportunity for all who race it to earn time bonuses over the all non riders.  All stage race riders are encourged to participate in the event.  Stage race riders who do not ride the prologue will recieve the "group time."   "Group time" will be based on the average of the slowest 3 riders without a mechanical mishap who actually race the prologue in their category. All riders can take their own prolouge time or the group time.
