2005 Tour of Eagle Road Race

Race Description
Flat short Individual Time Trial that starts out on the Eagle Greenbelt and runs through the Eagle River Business Park.

The Start will be located right behind Bardenay and the Hilton Garden Inn along the river on the greenbelt.

Riders will blast down the greenbelt for the first km and then enter the technical section of the course featuring some tight tricky corners that will require hard braking, good smooth bike handling to get through the corners quickly, and accelerate back up to speed. From there the course will run along the back of Merrill Park and drop down onto Riverside drive to the turnaround. This is where the riders will be able to open up the throttle to full speed. The turnaround will be on Riverside Dr. which will turn the riders 180 degrees heading westward on Riverside towards the finish passing in front of the Seller’s Choice Real Estate Office and straight to the finish.

Prologue is not a required stage It is an opportunity for all who race it to earn time bonuses over the all non riders. All stage race riders are encourged to participate in the event. Stage race riders who do not ride the prologue will recieve the "group time." "Group time" will be based on the average of the slowest 3 riders without a mechanical mishap who actually race the prologue in their category. All riders can take their own prolouge time or the group time.

Start Time:
Riders will start off at 7:30pm. There will be 1 minute intervals between riders. Warm up will be permitted on the course until 7:15pm.

Eagle River Business Park is located on the corner of Hwy 44 (State St.) and Eagle Rd. (Hwy 55)

Parking:
will be available at Bardenay and Hilton Parking lots as well as at Merrill Park.

Rest rooms will be available at Bardenay and at Merrill Park.
